Who publishes the knowledge library

Cassandra Research Pty Ltd publishes and maintains the Cassandra AML knowledge library. The organisation is identified as the author and publisher unless an article expressly names another real author or reviewer. We do not invent individual experts, qualifications, customer outcomes or regulatory endorsements.

Primary-source standard

Regulatory claims are checked against current primary material wherever available. Core sources include AUSTRAC guidance, the Federal Register of Legislation, current AML/CTF Rules and official material from other Australian regulators when a topic crosses professional obligations. Each guide displays its principal official sources.

Secondary commentary may help identify a question, but it is not treated as authority for a legal proposition. Where official guidance contains qualifications or depends on particular facts, the article should preserve that uncertainty rather than turn the guidance into an absolute rule.

How topics and keywords are chosen

We prioritise questions that arise in actual compliance workflows: whether a service is designated, who the customer is, when CDD must occur, which ownership evidence is required, what raises risk and how a decision should be retained. Each article owns one search intent and links to a profession pillar, related controls and primary sources.

We do not publish location-swapped doorway pages or lightly reword one article for many professions. Profession-specific guides must contain genuinely different services, customers, timing rules, risks, examples or evidence expectations.

Review, dates and updates

Article pages show a publication or modification date and a calculated reading time. Material is reviewed when AUSTRAC changes guidance, legislation or transitional rules, when a reader identifies a concern, and during scheduled library reviews. AUSTRAC's latest-guidance feed is the principal change-monitoring source.

Automated tools may assist research, consistency checking and drafting. They do not replace source verification or professional judgement. An article is not represented as independently reviewed by a lawyer or AML specialist unless that review has occurred and the reviewer is expressly identified with permission.

Corrections and feedback

If a guide appears inaccurate, outdated or unclear, contact us with the page URL, the relevant passage and the primary source that supports the correction. We assess material issues promptly and update the content and modification date when a correction is made.
